Nexuiz shipped documentation

The documentation that ships with Nexuiz is probably the least known feature in Nexuiz. However, the docs do reserve a bit of respect (many hours of work)

  • server directory
  • readme page
  • Nexuiz basics: contains a lot of very basic instructions for players who are not yet familiar with First person shooters. Interesting things, however: list of weapons with first person and third person images and explanations how to use them; also lists all game modes of the game and briefly explains how they work; at the very end this page contains useful weblinks to other pages such as the nexuiz ladder and tournament page, other guides or wikis.
  • Say escapes page is interesting for the ones who like to create their own keybinds to say a message on the server. It documents the placeholders you can use in this messages and shows examples
  • IRC page contains useful channels you might want to check out
  • Last but not least there's the FAQ page which you might actually want to check out FIRST when you have a problem with or around Nexuiz
  • Docs directory contains further files (I am talking about the text files now). They are only for special people (mappers)
